It’s Official, 1,934 Participants Worlds "Largest Computer Class"



Anthony Hosking Managing Director of iPROConference.com was delighted when Dr Subramonian - Principal of Dr.R.V.Arts and Science College , Karamadai, Coimbatore-641104.Tamilnadu, India contacted our video conference company on a mission to achieve a dream goal.  

Purpose

Dr Subramonian explained the prominent reason was to attract the attention of the younger generation towards the teaching profession. Secondly, to break the earlier record created by China which was set in the computer classroom of Shandong Lanxiang Senior Vestibule School in Jinan City, Shandong Province, China on 15 January 2006 with 1135 students.

When

Many schools, colleges and universities from various states in India participated in this mega event. The event is to be inaugurated by Prof. Dr. G. Thiruvasagam, Vice-Chancellor, Bharathiar University , Coimbatore India at 11.00 AM on the 9th November 2006 from his office online. (11 AM Indian Time)

The program was conducted using iPROConference Video Conference software using pc's so as to enable the students around the world to attend a virtual class room from their country on “How to attend an online class”. In many cases, most internet connections at the majority of these locations were on dial-up service speeds.

There were two centers in Coimbatore for this program, one is in the Dr.R.V.Arts and Science College , Karamadai and the second centre in the SRSI School , Karamadai where students from different schools are going to attend the online class.

Sevaratna Dr.R.Venkatesalu Naidu, Managing Trustee of the college is to inaugurate the virtual class rooms around the world online.
